After that she has served in the rural area by working in the ophthalmology department at Talegaon General Hospital.
She is also experienced in teaching students and has been a tutor at D Y Patil Medical College, Pune. She has done short term fellowship in small incision cataract surgery and phacoemulsification cataract surgery from Lions NAB Hospital, Miraj. She has also done a Lasik course from Laser Rx, Mumbai. She has been practising ophthalomology for the last 19 years, has operated over 1000 eyes and has a vast surgical and clinical experience in ophthalmology.
